Directory of Boiler Repairs by Qualified Gas Safe Engineers

Boilers Repair is a site for the public, to find qualified Corgi engineers (now Gas Safe Engineers since 1st April, 2009), prepared to service and repair the householder's existing domestic boiler when the boiler breaks down. Finding an engineer interested in repairing my 5 year old Combi Boiler had proved to be frustratingly difficult, even though boiler spares were readily available from the maker. Many engineers came round, took a look at the boiler (without even bothering to take out a spanner and examine the internal parts) they quoted me four figure sums to fit a new one. As a single mother on a tight budget I simply couldn't afford a new boiler, an expensive loan seemed the only option. Then along came a Boiler Repairer, who took the boiler apart, gave it a service, replaced the pump and charged me less than two hundred pounds for his service and the new pump.

This made me think that other people must be in the same desperate situation, being pushed into installing a new boiler at great expense, when the old existing boiler could be serviced and repaired. Finding a qualified gas installer in the local area prepared to service and repair boilers was the problem. Of course, boilers do have a working life span and it may not be possible to get spares for a boiler, more than twenty years old.

All the gas installers listed on this site are fully qualified gas engineers. Although they were all CORGI registered gas engineers, they are all now on the new GAS SAFE REGISTER. From 1st April 2009 the Gas Safe Register superseded the CORGI register of gas installers as the ONLY register accepted by the Health and Safety Executive as a qualification to work on any gas installation. All the gas engineers listed on this site are willing to service and repair boilers.
